Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
When will my athlete know if he made the team? Athletes will be notified at the end of tryouts. We ask athletes to commit to our club at that time and to make an initial payment.
When are practices? Most teams will practice at least twice a week, one of the practices will be on Saturday.
When are the tournaments? Arizona USAV determines the dates of the tournaments. There are typically 5 seeding tournaments from September to November with the regional championships early in December. The teams will attend a Junior Championship Qualifier tournament in January. This tournament is probably in California. If the team earns a bid to the Junior National Championship, the post season will continue March through July. The post season after December is a separate event and the costs will be discussed later in the season.
How many teams? The number of teams depends on the number of athletes trying out and the availability of coaches. We plan on a U14, U16 and a U18 team. The U14 and U12 can also play in the spring when the high school boys play, but this is another season with separate costs.

How much does it cost? This is the club's second year with a boys program so we only have a ball park, it should cost between $950-$1050. This cost does not include the post season. We will fund-raise to attend the Junior National Championship if we get a bid. The club fee does include practice time, coaching, gym fees, uniforms, practice t-shirts, jackets, pants and bags.
When do I pay? In general, a larger payment of $200-$300 is made after tryouts and the remaining balance is paid over the next three months. However, we will work with families and their budgets.
