Open houses and tryouts: The Arizona Region has established an Open House Period for players and their parents to visit different clubs in an attempt to decide which club to tryout and join for the season. The Open House Period is for the player to find out the club they want to join PRIOR to tryouts. Be dressed to play with a water bottle and Mask. Remember that just because a club says they want you to join their club does not mean it is the right place for you. Ask questions, talk to potential coaches, watch how they interact with your player.
Attend tryouts of the club(s) you are interested in participating with for the season. Once you have made a team and committed to the club by signing a contract or paying any fees, you are considered committed to the club for the entire season. Once you have committed to a club you are no longer eligible to tryout at other clubs nor are other clubs allowed to recruit you to come to their club. You must contact Arizona USAV to get the release form and have both clubs sign and approve the release.
If you did not complete payment for last season, you can not participate in Open House or Tryouts until the fee is paid.
REQUIRED FORMS: In accordance with USA Volleyball requirements, please bring the 3 following documents with you to
Open House and Tryouts. These forms will NOT be available at registration. You MUST download them and have them complete before your athlete can enter the gym.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
When will my athlete know if she made the team? Athletes will be notified at the end of tryouts. We ask athletes to commit to our club at that time.
When are practices? All teams will practice at least twice a week, one of the practices will be on Saturday; the U10 development clinics will be once a week
When are the tournaments? Arizona USAV determines the dates of the tournaments. There are typically 6 seeding tournaments from January to April with the regional championships early in May. Most teams will also attend local single or multi-day tournaments. The end of year Festival tournament in Phoenix during the last week of June is a separate event that will be discussed with each team later in the season.
How many teams? This year because of Covid-19 and gym availability, RVC will only have a U14 team that is for 7th and 8th grade girls.
How many athletes are on each team? There are typically 10-12 athletes on a team, depending on the number that tryout and the coach's preferences. There is a potential for practice players who do not travel.
How much does it cost? Depending on the team, it may cost between $875-$975 for the season. This cost does not include the JVA Cactus Classic in January or the AAU Festival tournament the end of June. The club fee does include practice time, coaching, gym fees, uniforms, practice t-shirts, jackets, pants and bags.
When do I pay? You pay the $275 acceptance fee after tryouts and the remaining balance is paid over the next three months. However, we will work with families and their budgets.
